What are SEO quick wins?

SEO quick wins are small changes with a large expected return, such as rewriting a weak snippet or linking to a page stuck on page two. BigRank generates 19 reports, ranks each item by impact and ease, and explains why it matters and what to do.

Where does the data come from?
From Google Search Console and your crawls. Period comparisons default to the last 28 days against the 28 before.
When are the reports refreshed?
After every Search Console sync and every crawl.
What if Search Console is not connected?
The crawl-based reports still work. The others show a prompt to connect Google Search Console.
How are items ranked?
By impact times ease, and colored red for losing traffic or broken, orange for opportunity and green for a positive trend.

The 19 reports, in six groups

Reports are recomputed after every Search Console sync and every crawl. By default they compare the last 28 days of daily data with the 28 days before, and each project can set its own thresholds.

  • Losing traffic

Lost Queries, Falling Queries, Falling Pages and Content Decay show where clicks and rankings are slipping.

    • Pages down 30%+ in clicks
    • Queries down 3 or more positions
    • Three months of falling clicks
  • Almost ranking

Striking Distance Pages (average position 4 to 15) and Second Page Keywords (positions 11 to 20) find rankings one push away from more clicks.

    • Average positions from Search Console
    • High impressions for striking distance
    • Page-level and query-level lists
  • Snippet fixes

CTR Opportunities flag queries with a click rate well below what their position should earn. Visibility Growth, Clicks Flat finds impressions rising while clicks do not.

  • Growth

Rising Pages, Rising Queries, New Visibility Opportunities and New Content Opportunities show what is working and what to build next.

  • Thresholds configurable per project
  • Reports recomputed after every sync and crawl

Search Console meets crawl data.

Several reports join traffic with crawl results. Internal link suggestions, for example, name source pages whose text mentions the target's top queries.

  • Pages with high impressions and few internal links
  • Redirect chains and links to redirects
  • Pages with poor Core Web Vitals and high traffic

Catch decline early.

Period-over-period comparisons and monthly click trends show lost queries, falling pages and slow content decay before they turn into a traffic gap.

  • Lost and falling queries
  • Pages with declining monthly clicks
  • Cannibalization across pages

From report to result

Each report already ranks its items by impact and ease, so the work is to pick the report that matches your goal, start at the top and check again after the next sync.

  1. Connect Search Console

Connect Google Search Console, and let it backfill history.

  2. Open a report

Pick the group that matches your goal, such as losing traffic or almost ranking.

  3. Work top to bottom

Items are ranked, so the first rows are the best use of your time.

  4. Check after the next sync

Reports recompute after every sync and crawl, so you can see whether an item has moved.

When teams use Quick Wins

Quick Wins fits regular SEO work that needs a short list rather than a dashboard: a weekly routine, a content refresh, a round of snippet rewrites or a client update.

  • Weekly SEO routine

Start each week with the losing traffic reports and the top of the striking distance list.

  • Content refresh planning

Use Content Decay and Falling Pages to pick the articles to update first.

  • Snippet rewrites

Pull CTR Opportunities to rewrite titles and descriptions where clicks underperform.

  • Client updates

Include Quick Wins and completed fixes in a white-label report.

Ranked fixes, raw search data or the full audit?

Use Quick Wins when you want a ranked list of changes, Search Console when you need every query and page with its clicks and impressions, and Website Audit for every crawl issue grouped by severity.

  • Quick Wins

Get 19 reports that join Search Console and crawl data, each listing items ranked by impact and ease with the change to make.

  • Search Console

Read clicks, impressions, CTR and average position by query, page, country and device, and compare any two date ranges.

  • Website Audit

Crawl the whole site for technical and on-page issues, from broken links to missing metadata, sorted by severity.

Act on the opportunities you found

Most quick wins lead to another tool. Check the queries behind a page, draft the content a new opportunity calls for, and track the keywords you push toward page one.

Quick Wins FAQ

Answers about thresholds, which reports need Search Console, crawl traps, who makes the fixes, the comparison period and why some reports need a crawl too.

Can I change the thresholds?

Yes. Thresholds are configurable per project.

Which reports need Search Console?

All except the crawl-based ones: Crawl Failure Hotspots, Crawl Trap Candidates and Redirect Waste.

What is a crawl trap?

A URL pattern that produces an explosion of variants, such as many query-parameter combinations, calendar or faceted paths, or repeating path segments.

Do Quick Wins fix things for me?

No. Each item explains the issue and the recommended change, and your team makes it.

Which period do the reports compare?

By default, the last 28 days against the 28 days before. Search Console history is backfilled for 16 months when you connect.

Do some reports need a crawl as well?

Yes. Reports that join both sources, such as Internal Link Opportunities and Slow Money Pages, use crawl data too. The first crawl starts when you create a project.
