How does a workspace work?

A workspace is the shared home for your team in BigRank. Projects, billing and quotas belong to the workspace, each project is one website, and every member sees only what their role allows.

What is a project?
One website, identified by its root domain. Each project has its own crawls, rankings, monitoring and reports.
Can clients see their data?
Yes. The Client/Viewer role is read-only, built for agency clients.
How do I add teammates?
Invite them by email. The number of seats comes from your plan.
Can I belong to more than one workspace?
Yes. An account can belong to one or more workspaces.

What a workspace includes

Projects, billing, quotas and members all belong to the workspace. Every request is checked against the member's role, so a client can view a project that an admin manages without being able to change it.

  • Workspaces

Projects, billing and quotas belong to the workspace, and every account can belong to one or more workspaces.

    • One plan per workspace
    • Per-project limits set by the plan
    • Workspace name and logo in settings
  • Roles and client viewers

Owner manages billing and can delete the workspace. Admin manages members and projects. Member works in projects. Client/Viewer is read-only.

    • Invitations by email
    • Seat limit from your plan
    • Role checked on every request
  • Project onboarding

A three-step wizard collects the website, crawl limits and crawler access. You can also create a project from a verified Search Console property.

    • Country and language per project
    • Crawl depth from 1 to 10
    • URL limit set by plan
  • Plans and limits

Plans set the number of projects, crawl pages, tracked keywords, seats and more. When you reach a limit, an upgrade screen explains what the next plan adds.

    • Usage metered per workspace
    • Limits checked before a job runs
    • Over-limit data kept read-only
  • Notifications

An in-app notification center and email alert you to finished crawls, new critical issues, downtime, ranking drops, lost backlinks and ready reports.

    • Core Web Vitals regressions
    • Recovery notices after downtime
    • Signed webhooks for every alert
  • Settings and audit log

Workspace, project and personal settings each have their own place, and Owners and Admins can review a log of important workspace actions.

    • Crawl config and schedule per project
    • Integrations per project
    • Profile, theme and language

Set up a project in three steps.

Add the website, choose crawl limits and depth, then allow the crawler. When you finish, the first crawl, first Core Web Vitals test and uptime monitor start automatically.

  • Import from Google Search Console
  • JavaScript rendering toggle
  • Crawler IP and robots.txt snippet provided

The right access for everyone.

  • Seat limits that follow the plan

Know when something needs you.

Sample conversation

From sign-up to a team on a project

Set the workspace up once and every project follows the same rules: one plan, the same limits for each project, and roles that decide who can change things and who can only read.

  1. Create the workspace

Name your workspace and add a logo if you plan to send white-label reports.

  2. Add a project

Enter the root domain, country and language, or import a property from Search Console.

  3. Invite people

Invite teammates and give clients the read-only Client/Viewer role.

  4. Stay informed

Get notified of crawls, downtime and ranking drops, and review activity in the audit log.

When teams use a workspace

A workspace fits any setup where more than one site or more than one person is involved, from an agency with client viewers to a freelancer keeping client work apart.

  • Agencies

Run every client site as a project and give clients read-only access.

  • In-house teams

Share one set of crawls, rankings and monitors across SEO, content and engineering.

  • Portfolio owners

Manage several sites under one account and one plan.

  • Freelancers

Keep client work separate and send branded reports from your own workspace.

Team setup, client reports or a first audit?

Use Project Workspace to organize sites, members and limits, SEO Reports to send clients a branded PDF, and Website Audit to give each new project a baseline of issues to fix.

  • Project Workspace

Add each website as a project, invite teammates and read-only clients, and manage plan limits, alerts and settings in one place.

  • SEO Reports

Generate PDF reports with your logo, colors and company name, choosing sections from health score to rankings and uptime.

  • Website Audit

Crawl a new project's pages and get every technical and on-page issue grouped by severity, with the affected URLs.

Fill your first project with data

Once onboarding finishes, connect Search Console, choose the keywords to track and review the first crawl, so the project has search, ranking and audit data from week one.
